District 31 Haunted Trail

For more than 15 years the District 31 Haunted Trail has lured those in search of a scare to its ghoulish gates in Ocean Isle Beach. This spine-tingling self-guided trail weaves through indoor and outdoor spaces complete with interactive props and actors, strobing lights, and sensor controlled special effects. The trail is designed, built, and staffed by local firefighters who spend more than 1,000 hours a year preparing for Halloween and frightful weekends in October. The attraction is family friendly, though organizers encourage parents to use caution when deciding in their child's participation.
